Florida's Foundation & Structure Experts
Hygema House & Building Movers is a licensed foundation repair and structural moving company serving Jacksonville, Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina since 1927.
TRUSTED SINCE 1927
Foundation Problems Get Worse Without Professional Help
Cracks that appear small today widen as settlement continues. A moisture-damaged crawl space quietly degrades the floor joists and subfloor above it until floors feel springy and walls begin to rack. Termite-compromised framing spreads long before the damage becomes visible from the living area. Every week of delay raises the cost and complexity of the repair.
At Hygema House & Building Movers in Middleburg, FL, we resolve foundation settlement and failure, physical relocation of residential and commercial structures, termite and storm damage to structural framing, and crawl spaces trapping moisture that degrade homes from underneath. Each of these conditions costs more the longer it is left alone. Hygema House & Building Movers has diagnosed and corrected these exact problems in Florida homes and commercial buildings since 1927.

Common Questions About Our Foundation and Structural Services
Do you work in areas outside of Middleburg and Jacksonville, Florida?
Yes — we are licensed and actively working across Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. In Florida, our primary service area includes Clay County, Duval County, and the broader Northeast Florida region, but we travel throughout the state. There is no travel surcharge or service boundary restriction within our primary Florida coverage area.
Is the foundation inspection really free, and what does it involve?
The inspection is completely free and carries no obligation. A licensed contractor — not a sales representative — will visit your property, assess visible foundation movement, check for cracks in walls and framing, evaluate crawl space condition where accessible, and provide you with a written assessment of what we find and what your options are.
How do I know if my foundation problem is serious enough to call a contractor?
Call us if you see any of these: doors or windows that no longer close or latch properly, cracks running diagonally from the corners of windows or door frames, or floors that feel uneven or springy when you walk on them. These signs do not resolve on their own. Each one typically means the underlying movement is continuing, and the repair becomes more involved the longer it waits.
What licenses do you hold for foundation work?
Hygema House & Building Movers holds two active Florida contractor licenses: CRC049210 (Certified Residential Contractor) and CBC056929 (Certified Building Contractor), both issued by the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
Do you handle both residential homes and commercial buildings?
Yes — we work on both. Residential services include foundation repair, structural repair, shoring, helical piles, steel push piers, and house moving. On the commercial side, we handle structural repair, shoring, commercial helical piles, commercial steel push piers, and building relocation. Call us or use the contact form to discuss the specifics of your project, and we will give you a straight answer on scope and timeline.
A Free Inspection Is the Right First Step
